Toros de Nuevo Laredo (LNBP) agreed terms with 29-year old Puerto Rican international swingman Alex Franklin (198-103kg-88, college: Siena). He is a dual citizen owning also American passport. Franklin played last summer at Vaqueros de Bayamon in Puerto Rican BSN league. In 35 games he had 10.4ppg, 5.2rpg, 2.1apg and 1.2spg. He helped them to win the regular season and make it to the final. The last season Franklin played at Atletico Aguada in Uruguayan LUB where in only one game he recorded very impressive stats: 16 points, 6 rebounds, 2 steals and 1 block.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he was voted Eurobasket.com All-Spanish LEB Gold Honorable Mention back in 2011.
Franklin also represented Puerto Rico at the Central American and Caribbean Games in Veracruz (Mexico) three years ago. His team won Bronze and his stats at that event were 4 games: 4.3ppg, 2.5rpg, 1.5spg.
Franklin is quite experienced player. His career allowed him to visit three different continents, while he played in nine different countries. Franklin tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Latin America and of course North America. He has played previously professionally also in Dominican Rep., France, Germany (Deutsche Bank Skyliners), Israel (Maccabi Raanana), Poland (AZS Koszalin), Spain (Magia_Huesca), Dominican Republic (Titanes Licey) and Mexico (Soles).

On Franklin: A gifted and talented forward, he plays the game above the rim. He brings a lot of energy, is athletic and has a good attitude.
