Soles outgunned Indios to take 1-0 lead in the quarterfinal series. The hosts trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 10-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 87-83. Soles looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Venezuelan forward Anthony Perez (206-93, college: Mississippi) fired 32 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. Toros beat Panteras to grab the advantage in the series.
