Soles surged ahead in the semifinal series versus Garzas edging those at home court. Soles made 23-of-27 charity shots (85.2 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Garzas' players. Garzas were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Justin Keenan (202-88, college: Ferris St.) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 6 rebounds. Point guard Alexander Perez-Kaufmann (191-93, agency: Pro Sports) contributed with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners. Toros upset Fuerza Regia on the road to take 1-0 lead in the semifinal series. Toros looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American-Puerto Rican point guard Wilfredo Pagan (184-76) chipped in 16 points. Four Toros players scored in double figures. Nigerian center Jeleel Akindele (216-83, college: Chicago St., agency: BeoBasket) produced 26 points and 9 rebounds and American forward Andy Panko (203-77, college: Lebanon Valley, agency: BeoBasket) added 15 points respectively for lost side. Windsor Express (NBL Canada) signed 29-year old American forward Devin White (203-98kg-88, college: SUNO). He played this summer at Nauticos of Mazatlan in Mexican CIBACOPA. In 15 games he had very impressive stats: 18.5ppg, 8.7rpg, 3.0apg and 1.4spg. The last season White played at MLP Academics Heidelberg in German ProA where in 35 games he recorded 8.5ppg, 4.7rpg, 1.4apg, 2.0spg (in top 5) and 1.2bpg. Windsor Express (NBL Canada) strengthened their roster with addition of 33-year old American power forward Taj Gray (204-107kg-84, college: Oklahoma). He played in the summer at Nauticos of Mazatlan in Mexican CIBACOPA, but left the team in April. In 7 games he recorded very impressive stats: 18.4ppg, 2.3rpg and 1.0apg. Among other achievements Gray won Spanish LEB Gold championship title in 2011. He received also Eurobasket.com All-French ProA Honorable Mention award back in 2007 and 2010. Gray is a very experienced player. Thanks to his pro career he managed to play on three different continents (Europe, Latin America and of course North America) in five different countries. Gray has played previously professionally in Israel (Ironi Ashkelon), Puerto Rico (Brujos), NBA (LA Clippers), Spain (UCAM Murcia) and France (Cholet Basket, Paris Levallois, Chorale de Roanne and Chalon/Saor).
