Soles surged ahead in the semifinal series versus Garzas edging those at home court. Soles made 23-of-27 charity shots (85.2 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Garzas' players. Garzas were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Justin Keenan (202-88, college: Ferris St.) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 6 rebounds. Point guard Alexander Perez-Kaufmann (191-93, agency: Pro Sports) contributed with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners. The former international forward Stephen Soriano (200-85, college: Colorado Mesa) answered with 18 points and 9 rebounds and American power forward Ivan Johnson (203-84, college: CS San Bernar., agency: Haylett Sports) added 18 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Garzas. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.

Toros upset Fuerza Regia on the road to take 1-0 lead in the semifinal series. Toros looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The former international center Lorenzo Mata (205-86, agency: Pro Sports) fired a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. American-Puerto Rican point guard Wilfredo Pagan (184-76) chipped in 16 points. Four Toros players scored in double figures. Nigerian center Jeleel Akindele (216-83, college: Chicago St., agency: BeoBasket) produced 26 points and 9 rebounds and American forward Andy Panko (203-77, college: Lebanon Valley, agency: BeoBasket) added 15 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

Atletico Argentino Junin (LigaA) agreed terms with 24-year old Mexican international center Israel Gutierrez (206-93). He started the season at Garzas in Mexican LNBP. In 45 games he had 6.8ppg, 5.6rpg and 1.7apg this season. Quite impressive year as he was named to Mexican LNBP All-Star Game.
