Fuerza Regia - Toros 96-71

Fuerza Regia bounced back from the loss in the opener to cruise past Toros in Game 2. The game was mostly controlled by Fuerza Regia. Toros was better in third quarter 22-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Fuerza Regia dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Toros' 26. They outrebounded Toros 36-20 including a 27-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. Fuerza Regia shot the lights out from three nailing 13 long-distance shots on high 61.9 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 30 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Toros' players. Nigerian center Jeleel Akindele (216-83, college: Chicago St., agency: BeoBasket) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 15 rebounds and 6 assists. International forward Juan Anderson (198-93, college: Marquette) contributed with 18 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners. Five Fuerza Regia players scored in double figures. American guard Roberto Nelson (190-91, college: Oregon St.) replied with 17 points and 5 rebounds and American-Puerto Rican swingman Alex Franklin (198-88, college: Siena) added 15 points and 4 assists in the effort for Toros. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
