Romel Beck
Garzas - Soles 88-85

Garzas extended the series beating Soles in Game 5. Soles were ahead by 8 points after three quarters before a 28-17 charge of Garzas, which allowed them to win the game. They made 20-of-25 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. The former international swingman Romel Beck (201-82, college: UNLV, agency: Interperformances) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points and 5 rebounds. International center Israel Gutierrez (206-93) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Naturalized American guard Luke Martinez (193-90, college: Wyoming, agency: Pro Sports) answered with 23 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Alexander Perez Kaufmann (191-93, agency: Pro Sports) added 14 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists in the effort for Soles. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Soles' coach Alejandro Martinez tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game.

Toros - Fuerza Regia 81-71

Toros stayed alive versus Fuerza Regia claiming a vital home victory on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by Toros. Fuerza Regia managed to win third quarter 25-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was American-Puerto Rican swingman Alex Franklin (198-88, college: Siena) who scored 25 points and 7 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field). American forward Adrian Henning (203-82, college: Austin Peay St., agency: Pro Sports) chipped in 20 points and 6 rebounds. Four Toros players scored in double figures. American forward Andy Panko (203-77, college: Lebanon Valley, agency: BeoBasket) produced 16 points and 5 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and the former international Hector Hernandez (205-85, college: Fresno St., agency: BeoBasket) added 12 points respectively for the guests. Fuerza Regia's coach Paco Olmos rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help.
