Paul Jones
Aguilas Doradas de Durango (CIBACOPA) agreed terms with 28-year old American forward Paul Jones (198-88kg-89, college: W.Washington). He played last season at Trikalla in Greek A1 league. In 9 games he had 9.1ppg and 3.1rpg. Jones also played that season for Ironi Ashkelon (National League) in Israel where in three games he recorded very impressive stats: 17.0ppg, 11.3rpg, 1.0spg and 1.7bpg.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others his team won GNAC Regular Season for two years in a row (2012 and 2013). Jones was also voted NABC Division II All-West Region 1st Team back in 2013 at his college time.
Jones is quite experienced player. His career allowed him to visit four different continents. Jones tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Latin America, Australia and of course North America. He has played previously professionally in Hungary (Marso Nyiregyhazi KK), New Zealand (Jets), Uruguay (Bohemios) and Mexico (Mineros de Caborca).
Jones attended Western Washington until 2013 and it will be his fourth season as a professional player.
On Jones: He is a 6'5" afro American who really has a limitless game. Terrific off the drive with either hand, great 3 pt. shooter with everything in between. Very good rebounder and he really plays great defense. He has a perfect basketball body. He is long and quick, good leaper and handles the ball well. He can play the pos: 3 but can also play 2. Earlier this season he scored 20 pts. on Duke University at Duke. He is impressive.

He moved there from Zonkeys de Tijuana in Mexican CIBACOPA where he started the season. In 21 games he recorded very impressive stats: 15.1ppg, 9.2rpg and 1.6apg this season. 29-year old forward Michael Glover (203-F-87) had an amazing evening in the last round for second-ranked Obregon and receives a Latinbasket.com Player of the Week award for round 31. He had a double-double of 32 points and 14 rebounds, while his team beat Tijuana (#3, 15-13) 106-93. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Rayos de Hermosillo (22-7) on the court of seventh ranked Pioneros Los Mochis on Saturday night. Visitors were edged by Pioneros Los Mochis 93-92.
