Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top performances of Mexicans who are currently playing abroad.

Gustavo Ayon
Gustavo Ayon
#1. This week's number one is an international power forward Gustavo Ayon (207-85, college: San Jose St., currently plays in Spain). He led Real Madrid to a 2-point victory against the ninth-ranked Baloncesto Fuenlabrada (11-15) 101-99 in a derby game in the Spanish Liga Endesa in Sunday night's game. Ayon had a double-double by scoring 14 points and getting 13 rebounds. He also added 5 blocks in 26 minutes on the court. Real Madrid (18-7) is placed fourth in the Liga Endesa. This year Ayon averages: 9.3ppg, 6.4rpg, 1.9apg, 2FGP: 65.7%(90-137) and FT: 68.6% in 23 games he played so far. He is currently a member of the Mexican senior national team.

Israel Gutierrez
Israel Gutierrez
#2. Second place goes to an international center Israel Gutierrez (206-93, currently plays in Argentina). Gutierrez contributed to an easy victory against the third-ranked Weber Bahia (24-18) crushing them 82-57 in the Argentinian LigaA last Sunday. He scored 8 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. Atletico Argentino Junin (23-22) is placed fifth in Sur group. Gutierrez's overall stats this season are: 8.5ppg, 6.8rpg, 2FGP: 68.8%(11-16) and FT: 70.6%. Ex-Garzas de Plata Hidalgo player is in the roster of the Mexican senior national team.

Jorge Gutierrez
Jorge Gutierrez
#3. The Mexican player who performed third best last week abroad was an international guard Jorge Gutierrez (190-88, college: California, currently plays in Turkey). He could not help Trabzonspor (8-16) in their last game. Despite Gutierrez's good performance Trabzonspor lost 66-75 at home to the much higher-ranked (#4) Banvit. He scored 10 points, had 8 boards, dished 4 assists and stole 5 balls in 31 minutes. It's Gutierrez's first season with the team. This year Gutierrez's overall stats are: 9.4ppg, 4.8rpg, 4.6apg, 1.7spg, 2FGP: 51.1%, 3FGP: 24.1% and FT: 62.5% in 14 games. Ex-Pioneros de Quintana Roo-Cancun player is also a member of the Mexican senior national team.

Edgar Garibay
Edgar Garibay
#4. Forward Edgar Garibay (208-90, college: Long Beach St., currently plays in Venezuela) led Guaiqueries to a 1-point victory against the third-ranked Gigantes (8-6) 69-68 in the Venezuelan LPB in Monday night's game. He scored 11 points, had 4 rebounds and made 2 blocks. It was the game of the round between two top 3 ranked teams in Conference Eastern. Guaiqueries de Margarita (10-6) is placed first in Eastern Conference. It was his team's sixth consecutive victory in a row. Garibay's total stats this season are: 7.0ppg and 3.6rpg. He is a naturalized American. Garibay is also Mexican national team player. He used to play for Lechugueros de Leon in Mexican league.

Francisco Cruz

#5. International guard Francisco Cruz (190-89, college: Wyoming, currently plays in Spain) faced previously mentioned Gustavo Ayon in the Spanish Liga Endesa last game. Cruz was not able to help Baloncesto Fuenlabrada in their game against Real Madrid (18-7). He did not have that impressive stats last Sunday. Cruz scored only 3 points in 14 minutes. Baloncesto Fuenlabrada was edged 101-99 in a derby game by the higher-ranked (#4) Real Madrid. This year Cruz's total stats are: 8.6ppg, 1.5rpg and 2.1apg in 25 games.
