Capitanes - Fuerza Regia 69-68 Capitanes nipped Fuerza Regia to take 1-0 lead in the semifinal series. Strangely Fuerza Regia outrebounded Capitanes 44-32 including a 37-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. Fuerza Regia was plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of Panamanian forward Ernesto Oglivie (203-89) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds. The best player for the winners was international forward Juan Toscano (198-93, college: Marquette, agency: BeoBasket) who scored 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists.
