The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Rayos de Hermosillo (12-2) on the court of seventh ranked Lobos UAD Mazatlan on Wednesday night. Visitors were defeated by Lobos UAD Mazatlan 101-93. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of Rayos de Hermosillo. Lobos UAD Mazatlan made 19-of-19 free shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. Strangely Rayos de Hermosillo outrebounded Lobos UAD Mazatlan 41-25 including 30 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for American guard Jeff Ledbetter (190-88, college: Idaho) who led his team to a victory scoring 37 points (!!!), 8 assists and 4 steals. His fellow American import swingman Cliff Tucker (198-89, college: Maryland) helped adding 23 points. The best for the losing side was American forward Emmanuel Little (196-85, college: N.Dakota) with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds. Defending champion (6-8) moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Navolato. Rayos de Hermosillo at the other side still keeps top position with two games lost. Lobos UAD Mazatlan is looking forward to face higher ranked Ostioneros de Guaymas (#3) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Rayos de Hermosillo will play against Aguilas Doradas de Durango and is hoping to win this game.
The game in Navolato was also worth to mention about. Second ranked Tijuana Zonkeys (9-4) played at the court of 6th ranked Garra Canera de Navolato (6-8). Tijuana Zonkeys did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 89-72. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Trayvon Lathan (201-84, college: Chowan) who led the winners and scored 17 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Karim Scott accounted for 20 points (perfect behind the arc making all five shots). American forward Mychal Ammons (198-92, college: S.Alabama) came up with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds for Garra Canera de Navolato in the defeat. Tijuana Zonkeys maintains second place with 9-4 record having four points less than leader Hermosillo. Garra Canera de Navolato lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with eight games lost. They share it with Mazatlan. Tijuana Zonkeys will play against Caballeros de Culiacan (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Garra Canera de Navolato will play against Pioneros Los Mochis and hopes to get back on the winning track.
The game in Durango was also quite interesting. Third ranked Ostioneros de Guaymas (9-5) played at the court of 8th ranked Aguilas Doradas de Durango (4-9). Ostioneros de Guaymas defeated Aguilas Doradas de Durango 94-78 on Wednesday. Americans were the main players on the court. The best player for the winners was Brandon Provost who scored 22 points and 6 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). At the other side the best for losing team was Martin Zamarco who recorded 21 points (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!). Aguilas Doradas de Durango's coach rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Ostioneros de Guaymas maintains third place with 9-5 record having just three points less than leader Hermosillo, which they share with Obregon. Newly promoted Aguilas Doradas de Durango keeps the eighth position with nine games lost. Ostioneros de Guaymas will meet Lobos UAD Mazatlan (#7) on the road in the next round. Aguilas Doradas de Durango will play against the league's leader Rayos de Hermosillo and hope to secure a win.
The game in Culiacan was also worth to mention about. Fifth ranked Frayles de Guasave (7-7) played at the court of 8th ranked Caballeros de Culiacan (4-10). Frayles de Guasave managed to secure a 5-point victory 96-91. It was a good game for Sammy Yeager who led his team to a victory with 31 points and 6 assists. Frayles de Guasave maintains fifth place with 7-7 record. Caballeros de Culiacan lost sixth consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth position with ten games lost. Frayles de Guasave's next round opponent will be higher ranked Halcones de Ciudad Obregon (#4) at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Caballeros de Culiacan will play against the league's second-placed Tijuana Zonkeys (#2) and hope to win that game.

In the last game of round 15 bottom-ranked Los Mochis lost to Obregon on the opponent's court 99-108.

Navolato - Tijuana 72-89

The game in Navolato was also worth to mention about. Second ranked Tijuana Zonkeys (9-4) played at the court of 6th ranked Garra Canera de Navolato (6-8). Tijuana Zonkeys did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 89-72. It was a great shooting night for Tijuana Zonkeys especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Trayvon Lathan (201-84, college: Chowan) who led the winners and scored 17 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Naturalized American swingman Karim Scott (-88) accounted for 20 points (perfect behind the arc making all five shots) for the winning side. Lathan is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American forward Mychal Ammons (198-92, college: S.Alabama) came up with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds and the other American import swingman Dwayne Mitchell (196-82, college: La-Lafayette) added 15 points and 8 assists respectively for Garra Canera de Navolato in the defeat. Very expected game when 10th ranked Pioneros Los Mochis (3-11) were defeated on the road by fourth ranked Halcones de Ciudad Obregon (9-5) 108-99. Halcones de Ciudad Obregon made 25-of-29 charity shots (86.2 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three nailing 13 long-distance shots on high 56.5 percentage. Halcones de Ciudad Obregon players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Pioneros Los Mochis' players. 24 personal fouls committed by Pioneros Los Mochis helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. It was a good game for swingman Glen Rice-Jr (198-91, college: Georgia Tech) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Forward Michael Glover (203-87, college: Iona) contributed with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners.
