Jeff
Ledbetter
American Guard Jeff Ledbetter (190-G-88) had a very impressive game in the last round for Mazatlan, receiving a Latinbasket.com Player of the Week award for round 15.
The 28-year old player was the main contributor (37 points, four rebounds and eight assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Hermosillo (#1, 12-2) 101-93. Mazatlan maintains the 7th position in Mexican CIBACOPA. Mazatlan is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 6-8 record. In the team's last game Ledbetter had a remarkable seven three-pointers out of 15 attempts. He just recently signed at Mazatlan and just after two games he already turned to be a very valuable addition to the team. Jeff Ledbetter averages just after two games 34.0ppg and 5.5apg.

The second best player in last round's games was -year old Canadian Grandy Glaze (204-F) of Culiacan. Glaze had a very good evening with a double-double of 30 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as Culiacan lost that game 91-96 to the higher-ranked Guasave (#5, 7-7). This loss caused Culiacan to drop to 9th position in the standings. 10 lost games are too many comparing to just four victories Culiacan managed to get this year. Glaze is one of the most experienced players at Culiacan and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American swingman Glen Rice Jr. (198-G/F-91) of Obregon (#4). Rice Jr. showcased his all-around game by recording 25 points, ten rebounds and six assists in the last round. He was a key player of Obregon, leading his team to a 108-99 win against the lower-ranked Los Mochis (#10, 3-11). Obregon needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 9 victories and 5 lost games. Rice Jr. has a very solid season. In 14 games in Mexico he scored 20.2ppg. He also has 6.6rpg, 4.4apg and FGP: 57.5%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Mychal Ammons (198-F-92) of Navolato - 24 points and 11 rebounds
5. Cameron Forte (201-F-93) of Los Mochis - 31 points and 11 rebounds
6. Michael Glover (203-F-87) of Obregon - 20 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists
7. Benjamin Puckett (205-C-83) of Culiacan - 18 points, 13 rebounds and 3 assists
8. Jeff Early (190-G-88) of Los Mochis - 20 points and 10 rebounds
9. Nick Leon (181-PG-88) of Obregon - 27 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists
10. Brandon Provost (190-G-90) of Guaymas - 22 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
