The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Rayos de Hermosillo (21-6) at the home court on Wednesday night. Hosts were defeated by fifth ranked Frayles de Guasave (14-14) 89-82. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Rayos de Hermosillo. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Rayos de Hermosillo won fourth quarter 31-29. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American forward Sammy Yeager (193-89, college: CS Fullerton) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds for the winners and Gary Mondragon (-91) chipped in 25 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). American forward Emmanuel Little (196-85, college: N.Dakota) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Frayles de Guasave moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Guaymas. Rayos de Hermosillo at the other side still keeps top position with six games lost. Frayles de Guasave is looking forward to face bottom-ranked Aguilas Doradas de Durango (#10) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Rayos de Hermosillo will play against Pioneros Los Mochis (#7) and is hoping to win this game.
Tenth-ranked Aguilas Doradas de Durango (9-18) gave a tough game to second ranked Halcones de Ciudad Obregon (19-9). The visitors from Ciudad Obregon managed to secure only one-point victory 101-100. American point guard Jordon Crawford (168, college: Bowling Green) came up with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 assists for Aguilas Doradas de Durango in the defeat. Halcones de Ciudad Obregon maintains second place with 19-9 record having just one point less than leader Hermosillo. Newly promoted Aguilas Doradas de Durango stay at the bottom position with 18 games lost. Halcones de Ciudad Obregon will play against Tijuana Zonkeys (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Aguilas Doradas de Durango will play against Frayles de Guasave (#5) and hopes to get back on the winning track.

Garra Canera de Navolato's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Adam Arciniega produced 21 points and 9 rebounds for the guests. Garra Canera de Navolato moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Culiacan. Ostioneros de Guaymas lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fourth position with 14 games lost. They share it with Guasave. Garra Canera de Navolato will meet higher ranked Lobos UAD Mazatlan (#6) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Ostioneros de Guaymas will play against Caballeros de Culiacan and hope to secure a win.
Seventh ranked Lobos UAD Mazatlan (13-15) beat at home 8th ranked Caballeros de Culiacan (11-17) by 12 points 97-85, which is the biggest margin this round. Americans were the main players on the court. Omar Thomas orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points and 8 rebounds. Lobos UAD Mazatlan's coach Eric Weissling used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Defending champion moved-up to sixth place. Caballeros de Culiacan at the other side keeps the eighth position with 17 games lost. Lobos UAD Mazatlan's next round opponent will be Garra Canera de Navolato (#8) at home. Caballeros de Culiacan will play against Ostioneros de Guaymas and hope to win that game.

In the last game of round 29 Los Mochis lost to Tijuana on the opponent's court 90-97.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 26 points by Trayvon Lathan of Tijuana.

Tijuana - Los Mochis 97-90

Rather expected game when 6th ranked Pioneros Los Mochis (12-16) were defeated on the road by fourth ranked Tijuana Zonkeys (14-12) 97-90. It looked good early as Pioneros Los Mochis took a 1-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Tijuana Zonkeys had a 26-16 second period charge getting the lead and Pioneros Los Mochis were not able to take back game control losing it eventually 90-97. Tijuana Zonkeys shot 64.5 percent from the field. Tijuana Zonkeys had a 32-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 30 assists. Tijuana Zonkeys brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Americans were the main players on the court. Guard Trayvon Lathan (201-84, college: Chowan) orchestrated the victory by scoring 26 points (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field). Swingman Marcus Morrison (198-84, college: Middle Tenn.St.) contributed with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists (perfect from the field making all six shots) for the winners. Lathan is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Forward Terrance Motley (201-91, college: Sam Houston St.) answered with 25 points and 7 rebounds and forward Cameron Forte (201-93, college: Portland St.) added 14 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Pioneros Los Mochis. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Tijuana Zonkeys moved-up to third place. Pioneros Los Mochis at the other side dropped to the seventh position with 16 games lost. Tijuana Zonkeys' next round opponent will be league's second-placed Halcones de Ciudad Obregon on the road and it will be for sure the game of the week. Pioneros Los Mochis will play against the league's leader Rayos de Hermosillo (#1) and hope to win that game.

Ostioneros de Guaymas trailed by 13 points after 3 quarters before a 35-30 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 90-98 at the end of the game. The best player for the winners was American Kevin Rogers (206-86, college: Baylor) who scored 26 points and 8 rebounds. His fellow American import swingman Dwayne Mitchell (196-82, college: La-Lafayette) chipped in 18 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists.
