Michael
Glover
American Forward Michael Glover (203-F-87) had a great game in the last round for second-ranked Obregon, receiving a Latinbasket.com Player of the Week award for round 29.
The 29-year old player had a double-double of 32 points and 10 rebounds, while his team edged out Durango (#10, 9-18) 101-100. Obregon maintains the 2nd position in Mexican CIBACOPA. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Obregon will need more victories to improve their 19-9 record. Glover just recently signed at Obregon, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Former Iona College star has very solid stats this year. Glover is in league's top in points (6th best: 21.4ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 11.2rpg) and averages impressive 57.3% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was 27-year old American Sammy Yeager (193-F-89) of Guasave. Yeager had a very good evening with a double-double of 37 points and 10 rebounds. Of course Guasave cruised to a 89-82 relatively comfortable win over the higher-ranked Hermosillo (#1, 21-6). Guasave's 5th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 14-14 record is not bad and everything may still change. Yeager is one of the most experienced players at Guasave and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 25.4ppg (#2). His other stats are also decent: 4.1rpg and 5.1apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Emmanuel Little (196-F-85) of league's top team Hermosillo. Little showcased his all-around game by recording 23 points, eleven rebounds (!!!) and four assists in the last round. Despite Little's great performance Hermosillo lost 82-89 to the lower-ranked Guasave (#5, 14-14). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Hermosillo needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 21 victories and 6 lost games. Little has a great season in Mexico. After 27 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 8.9rpg (6th best). Little attended one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on his way to pro basketball.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Glen Rice Jr. (198-G/F-91) of Obregon - 28 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists
5. Jordon Crawford (168-PG) of Durango - 25 points, 2 rebounds and 10 assists
6. Mychal Ammons (198-F-92) of Navolato - 21 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists
7. Trayvon Lathan (201-G-84) of Tijuana - 26 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists
8. B.J. West (211-F-89) of Guaymas - 27 points and 4 rebounds
9. Kevin Rogers (206-PF-86) of Navolato - 26 points and 8 rebounds
10. Dwayne Mitchell (196-G/F-82) of Navolato - 18 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
