American Forward Mychal Ammons (198-F-92) put on an amazing game in the last round for Tijuana, receiving a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 22.
The 25-year old player had a double-double of 21 points and 16 rebounds, while his team beat Durango (13-10) 83-77. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Tijuana maintains the 3rd position in Mexican CIBACOPA. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Tijuana will need more victories to improve their 13-10 record. In the team's last game Ammons had a remarkable 80.0% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Tijuana, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Mychal Ammons averages this season 17.6ppg and 7.8rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was 23-year old Bahamas Tavario Miller (203-F-94) of Los Mochis. Miller had a very good evening with 26 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists. Bad luck as Los Mochis lost that game 86-101 to slightly higher-ranked Mazatlan (#9, 7-16). The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Los Mochis dropped in the standings to very bottom position. 17 lost games are too many comparing to just six victories Los Mochis managed to get this year. Miller is one of the most experienced players at Los Mochis and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Sammy Yeager (193-F-89) of Guasave (#5). Yeager scored 26 points. He was a key player of Guasave, leading his team to a 83-80 win against slightly lower-ranked Guaymas (#6, 12-10). Guasave needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 13 victories and 10 lost games. Yeager has a great season in Mexico. After 23 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 24.9ppg (best scorer) and assists with 5.3apg (3rd best). He also has FGP: 58.8% and 3PT: 40.1%.
