The American Basketball Association announced to have added a Travel Team from Nicaragua based out of Atlanta, GA and under the supervision of Georgia Gwizzlies owner, Embry Malone .
The team will play a limited number of games with ABA teams and also will travel to Nicaragua to play this season. 'I have been working with Marlon Moraga for the past year to make this a reality,' stated Malone. 'We are building, developing and training Nicaraguans to play professional basketball. Our long term goal is to build a basketball venue in Nicaragua as we keep our eyes on the prize, to reach the 2016 Olympics qualifications for Nicaragua.'
'Atlanta has a large international community in the Doraville, Chamblee and Gwinnett County. Players from Central and South America - and the US - are invited to Open Tryouts on November 26th at the South Cobb Rec Center, 875 Six Flags Drive, Austell GA from 9-12 noon,' added Malone. For more information about the Nicaragua N.A. team, contact Embry Malone at 678 508 0467 or email gwizzlies@msn.com
