Puerto Rico had led by 16 points in the third quarter, but a 15-1 run early in the fourth gave the Virgin Islands an 81-79 lead. Eddie Casiano (188-G-72) and Jose Ortiz (210-C-63, college: Oregon St.) each scored 4 points as PR pulled ahead 87-83, and free throws by Kitwana Rhymer (208-C-78, college: Massachusetts) and Kevin Sheppard (182-G-79) could only pull the USVI within 1. Raja Bell (196-F/G-76, agent: Rudoy Herb, college: Florida Intern.) finally showed off his NBA pedigree with 26 points, mostly in the first half. Kitwana Rhymer (208-C-78, college: Massachusetts) also had his strongest game of the tournament. Puerto Rico will play the Dominican Republic in the final.
Puerto Rico has beaten the Virgin Islands in a very close game at the end, after thegame, Raja Bell (196-F/G-76, agent: Rudoy Herb, college: Florida Intern.) hada heated argument with one of the referees and was suspended for two games, today and another one in the Olympic Qualifier.

Jose Ortiz, Eddie Casiano, and Daniel Santiago, who combined for 19 points in the first two games scored 57 tonight. Puerto Rico's offense was again unstoppable, shooting 62% (39/63) from the field. Thomas Gillespie (204-F/C-74, agent: Price Rhonda, college: Regis) and Pablo Trigueno fought hard for Guatemala, but they were unable to match their strong performance of Tuesday. In the final game of the night, Puerto Rico rolled out to a 31-10 lead and cruised to a big win over the Bahamas. Every available Puerto Rico player saw significant playing time, and the bench scored half the team's points. Antonio Latimer (204-F/G-78, agent: Sola Miquel, college: Missouri Southern) led the way with 24 points and 10 rebounds, but will want to improve on his 9/18 free throw shooting.
