Halcones - Caballos 66-86

Caballos had little trouble reaching LPB Final. They fired past Halcones in the semifinal clash. Caballos players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. American guard CJ Rodriguez (188, college: S.Nazarene) nailed a double-double by scoring 23 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists for the winning side and the former international swingman Anell Alexis (200-90, college: Marist, agency: Octagon Europe) accounted for 16 points and 7 assists. Four Caballos players scored in double figures. Forward Ernesto Oglivie (203-89) came up with 14 points and 8 rebounds and Puerto Rican guard Ricardo Melendez (179-83) added 17 points and 4 assists respectively for Halcones in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

Correcaminos - Panteras 65-63

Correcaminos advanced into the title game. They nipped Panteras in the exciting semifinal battle on Friday. Correcaminos had a 24-12 advantage in offensive rebounds. Naturalized American forward Tyler Gaskins (193-92, college: St.Peter's) stepped up and scored 16 points for the winners and the former international swingman Isaac St.Rose (190-83, college: John Brown) chipped in 12 points and 6 rebounds. Four Correcaminos players scored in double figures. At the losing side Spanish-American forward Duane James (196-83, college: Binghamton) responded with 16 points and 9 rebounds and swingman Luis Dinolis (185-93, college: Broward CC) scored 15 points.
