Correcaminos de Colon came from behind and had a strong 4th quarter to beated Santa Tecla BC 92-79 after trailing most of the game. The locals won the first quarter 25-21 with good fast breaks points. The transition defense of Correcaminos de Colon were not getting back on time.

The second quarter was good for the Panamanians 20-12 with good interior offensive from the MVP Ernesto Oglivie (203-F-89) and perimeter shooting from Tyler Gaskins (193-F-92, college: St.Peter's) and Antonio Bumpus (190-G-89, college: Cumberlands). Santa Tecla BC's big players got in to foul trouble and Correcaminos de Colon took advantage of that.

The third quarter with Oglivie on the bench the Panamanians lost the interior offense and got behind 27-22 to started behind the fourth quarter 65-63, the Correcaminos de Colon made a defensive adjustment causing the locals to made key turnovers that were key in the final score.

Ernesto Oglivie was named the MVP of the Liga de las Americas and he was also the MVP of the Panamanian League. Correcaminos de Colon earned the right to go the Liga de las Americas for the second year in row, they came in 8th place last year.
