Alexander
Galindo
Correcaminos de Colon (LPB) agreed terms with 32-year old Puerto Rican international power forward Alexander Galindo (200-85, college: FIU). He played last summer at Indios de Mayaguez in Puerto Rican BSN league. In 33 games he had very impressive stats: 17.6ppg, 4.5rpg and 1.9apg. A very spectacular season in his career as he was named to Latinbasket.com All-Puerto Rican BSN Honorable Mention.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Galindo's team made it to the BSN Semifinals in 2009, 2013 and 2014. He was also voted Latinbasket.com All-Uruguay LUB Forward of the Year back in 2010.
Galindo has been also a member of Puerto Rican international program for some years. He has regularly played for Puerto Rican senior team since 2016 and previously for U21 National Team between 2004 and 2005.
Galindo also represented Puerto Rico at the Centrobasket in Panama City (Panama) last year. His team won Gold and his stats at that event were 6 games: 7.8ppg, 1.8rpg, FGP: 44.4%, 3PT: 48.0%, FT: 42.9%.
Galindo is quite experienced player. He has played also professionally in Argentina (Libertad Sunchales and Olimpico de La Banda), Venezuela (Trotamundos), Puerto Rico (Atleticos, Brujos and Cangrejeros) and Uruguay (Olimpia, Malvin and Cader).
Galindo attended Florida International University until 2009 and it will be his eighth season as a professional player.
He could be described: Has a great feel, makes shots and passes well.
A very versatile player who can spend time both in 2 and in 3 positions. Had a very good shooting touch and a great feeling for the game

LPB Round 12: Aguilas are defeated by Panteras in a derby game - 4 days ago
The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Panama City: Panteras (#3) and Aguilas (#6). Panteras (7-5) won against visiting Aguilas (3-9) 81-67. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Alejandro Grant (199-93) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 6 rebounds and Puerto Rican guard Jared Ruiz (188-92) who added 20 points and 4 steals during the contest. Panteras' coach Adriano Macias used entire bench which allowed the starters a little re...   [read more]
