Antonio
Garcia
Caballos de Cocle Aguadulce (LPB) agreed terms with experienced 41-year old ex-international power forward Antonio Garcia (202-113kg-76, college: Ky Wesleyan). It is actually his comeback to Caballos as he has played here before. Garcia played last summer at Halcones in Panamanian LPB league. In 15 games he had 5.3ppg, 9.0rpg and 3.9apg. He helped them to win the regular season and make it to the semifinals. Quite impressive season as he was named to Panamanian LPB All-Star Game. Garcia also played that season for Correcaminos where in only one Liga Americas game he recorded 4 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Garcia was voted Latinbasket.com All-Panamanian LPB 1st Team in 2015.
He also represented Panama at the Panamerican Games in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) ten years ago.
Garcia is quite experienced player. He has played also in Argentina (Quilmes Mar del Plata), France, Mexico (Tecos de la UAGuadalajara, Panteras and Pioneros), Puerto Rico, United Kingdom, Uruguay (Atletico Welcome and Bigua) and Venezuela (Panteras).
Garcia is close to retirement age as a player. It's very possible he may end his playing career at Caballos.
Garcia attended Kentucky Wesleyan College until 1999 and it will be his 18th (!!!) season as a professional player.
