Daniel King
El Rapido de La Union (Liga MB) agreed terms with 30-year old Panamanian power forward Daniel King (203-87, college: Texas Southern). It is actually his comeback to La Union as he has played here before. King just played at Caballos in Panamanian LPB league. In three games he had 5.7ppg and 3.0rpg this season.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others King won Liga Centroamericana championship title in 2016. He was also voted Latinbasket.com All-El Salvador Liga Mayor Honorable Mention in 2016.
King represented Panama at the Centrobasket in Panama City (Panama) last year. His team got to the Semifinals and his stats at that event were 3 games: 6.0ppg, 4.7rpg, FGP-1 (87.5%), FT: 57.1%.
King is quite experienced player. He has played also professionally in Costa Rica, Uruguay (Maldonado), El Salvador (Denver-FAS San Salvador), Panama (Rio Abajo, Canguros de Parque Lefevre, Correcaminos and Panteras) and Nicaragua (Vikingos de Valentis Pizza).
King attended Texas Southern University until 2012 and it is his fifth season as a professional player.
On King: Athletic Power forward who has the potential to develop perimeter game. Not a three point threat but works adequately in the midrange. Needs to bulk up to be a true power forward but has the frame to do it.
