We bring you last week's top performances from Panamanians who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

Jamaal Levy
Jamaal Levy
#1. This week's number one is an experienced international power forward Jamaal Levy (206-83, college: Wake Forest, currently plays in Liga Americas). He led his Argentinian team Weber Bahia to a 2-point victory against the leader Cocodrilos 77-75 in the Liga Americas in Friday night's game. Levy recorded 12 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 31 minutes on the court. It was the game of the round between two top 2 ranked teams in group F. Weber Bahia Blanca Basketis placed first. This year Levy averages: 8.0ppg, 4.7rpg, 2.7apg, 2FGP: 57.1%, 3FGP: 25.0% in three games he played so far. He is currently a member of the Panamanian senior national team.

Josimar Ayarza
Josimar Ayarza
#2. Second place goes to an international forward Josimar Ayarza (205-87, college: S.Mississippi, currently plays in Argentina). Ayarza could not help Echague (5-28) in their last game on Wednesday. Despite his very good performance the tenth-placed Echague (5-28) was defeated 95-90 at home by the higher-ranked Libertad Sunchales (#7) in the Norte group. Ayarza was the top scorer with 27 points. He also added 4 rebounds. Ayarza has relatively good stats this season: 14.2ppg, 4.8rpg, 2FGP: 51.6%, 3FGP: 43.9% and FT: 73.9%. Ex-Aguilas de Rio Abajo Panama City player is in the roster of the Panamanian senior national team.

Jaime Lloreda
Jaime Lloreda
#3. The Panamanian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international center Jaime Lloreda (204-80, college: LSU, currently plays in Uruguay). He was not able to help Hebraica in their game against Larre Borges (4-5) in the Uruguayan LUB. Lloreda recorded 7 points and grabbed 13 rebounds in 34 minutes. Hebraica (#3) lost 73-77 in a derby game to the lower-ranked (#5) Larre Borges in the Promocional 1 group. His team will play only one more game in the Second Stage. And that game will be critical. It's Lloreda's first season with the team. This year Lloreda has relatively solid stats: 12.2ppg, 10.5rpg, 1.1apg, 2FGP: 64.4%(58-90) and FT: 56.6% in 12 games. Ex-Magnates de Calidonia player is also a member of the Panamanian senior national team.

Michael Hicks
Michael Hicks
#4. Forward Michael Hicks (196-76, college: Texas A&M-CC, currently plays in Uruguay) is a teammate of previously mentioned Jaime Lloreda and both played together in the last Uruguayan LUB game. Hicks was not able to secure a victory for Hebraica (5-3) in their last game on Tuesday. Despite his good performance Hebraica (#3) was defeated 77-73 in a derby game by the lower-ranked Larre Borges (#5) in the Promocional 1 group. Hicks recorded 10 points. Hicks has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages: 17.9ppg, 4.4rpg, 2.5apg and 1.5spg. Hicks is also Panamanian national team player.

Geno Luzcando
Geno Luzcando
#5. International guard Geno Luzcando (190-95, currently plays college basketball in the States) couldn't help the Idaho St. (3-9) in their game against the Sacramento State University (4-7) in the NCAA. He recorded 8 points in 35 minutes. The Idaho St. lost 63-75 on their home court in Pocatello to the State University. Luzcando has reliable stats this year: 10.7ppg, 4.9rpg and 2.1spg in 23 games. He plays currently for the Panamanian national team.

The list of other players, who all have Panamanian passport but never been selected to any of Panamanian national teams:

#1. Javier Carter (203-C-91, college: S.Alabama, currently plays in Mexico) contributed to Soles' victory against the league outsider Correcaminos (6-30) 72-65 in the Mexican LNBP (second division) last Saturday. He scored 10 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and made 2 blocks in 23 minutes. Soles de Mexicali (23-13) is placed second in the LNBP. It was his team's sixth consecutive victory in a row. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. This year Carter's overall stats are: 6.8ppg, 6.0rpg, 1.3apg, 1.3bpg and 1.5spg in four games he played so far. He is a naturalized American. Carter used to play for Caballos de Cocle Aguadulce in Panamanian league.

#2. Tymell Murphy (196-F-90, college: FIU, currently plays in Japan) led Kagoshima to a victory against the fifth-ranked Cyberdyne IR (14-22) 90-77 in the Japanese B League D2 on Sunday night. He scored 13 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and dished 3 assists. Kagoshima Rebnise (5-31) is placed sixth in West group. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. Murphy has reliable stats this season: 12.0ppg, 6.3rpg, 1.7apg and 1.1spg. He is a naturalized American. Strangely Murphy has never played in Panama.

#3. Pablo Rivas (198-F-94, currently plays college basketball in the States) managed to help N.Carolina Central to win against the South Carolina State University (2-10) crushing them 85-62 in the NCAA last Saturday. Rivas recorded 5 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. The N.Carolina Central has a very solid 9-1 conference record this season. There are only four games left until the end of the NCAA Regular Season. So now every game will be important. Rivas' overall stats this season are: 6.8ppg and 4.5rpg.
