Los Angeles Sparks released 28-year old Paraguayan ex-international swingman Paola Ferrari (178-85, agency: Josep and Nicolas). She is a dual citizen owning also Italian passport. She won Spanish LFB championship title and made it to the cup final.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as Ferrari was voted Latinbasket.com All-South American Cup 1st Team in 2012. She also represented Paraguay at the South American Championships in Santiago (Chile) three years ago.
Ferrari is quite experienced player. She has played also professionally in Spain (Perfumerias Avenida, Jopisa Burgos, Rivas Ecopolis and Joventud Mariana), Paraguay (Sol de America Asuncion and Felix Perez), Brazil (Americana), Ecuador (UTE) and Argentina (Racing-Guarani).
Ferrari could be described:
A very promising player, who can score a lot. She's further improved hers skils in last experiences abroad.

Americana (LBF) added to their roster 28-year old Paraguayan international swingman Paola Ferrari (178-85, agency: Josep and Nicolas). She is a dual citizen owning also Italian passport. Ferrari just played at Perfumerias in Spanish LFB league. In 14 games she recorded 5.9ppg and 2.4rpg this season. She helped them to win the league title despite they ended the regular season at the second place. They also made it to the cup final. Ferrari ended the last season at UTE in Ecuadorian league. In 6 South American Club Championships games she averaged impressive 20.7ppg, 5.2rpg, 3.7apg and 1.2spg. But the most of that year she spent at Joventud Mariana (LFB) in Spain. In 25 games she averaged remarkable 17.1ppg, 3.6rpg, 3.5apg and 1.2spg. A very spectacular season in her career as she was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Spanish LFB 3rd Team and All-Bosmans Team.
The previous (2011) summer Ferrari played at Racing-Guarani (Liga Nacional) in Argentinian league.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as she was voted Eurobasket.com All-Spanish LFB Newcomer of the Year back in 2008. Ferrari also represented Paraguay at the South American Championships in Santiago (Chile) three years ago.
She has played also professionally in Peru (Regatas) and Paraguay (Sol de America Asuncion and Felix Perez).

Paola Ferrari (178-G/F-85, agency: Josep and Nicolas) tastes the title in Spain as her Perfumerias Avenida clinched the LFB title after a year pause. They swept the championship series against Rivas Ecopolis to retain the title they lost to Ros Casares last season.
It was a dramatic clash with the title at stake. Rivas Ecopolis tried to leave a bitter home loss behind and started aggressively. The visitors posted a 19:10 lead after ten minutes of action. Rivas Ecopolis maintained the lead throughout the second quarter. Moreover the visitors piled up a 38:24 halftime advantage. Avenida stopped the rot in the third term. The hosts narrowed the deficit and trailed by just 10 points heading into the fourth stanza. The hosts used a 10:3 rally midway through the final frame to narrow the deficit at 2-point mark 57:59. Currie and Marta Xargay Casademont put Avenida within one with just over a minute remaining 62:63. Olexandra Kurasova drained a triple to give Rivas Ecopolis space for manoeuvre. However Salciute responded with a treble of her own to bring Avenida within one again 65:66. The teams exchanged misses before Le'Coe Willingham got fouled with just two seconds remaining. She calmly sank both free throws and brought Avenida to the historic victory. Le'Coe Willingham, Marta Xargay Casademont and Egle Sulciute finished with 12 points each for the winners. Currie added 11 points for Avenida. Olexandra Kurasova answered with 17 points for Rivas Ecopolis. Anna Vadja netted 12 points in the loss.
In Dec.'12 Paola Ferrari joined Perfumerias Avenida Salamanca (Spain-LFB, starting five) and averaged 5.9 points per game.
