The Second Stage in Metropolitan League just started.

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Luqueno (0-1) at the home court on Thursday night. Hosts were edged by Olimpia (1-0) 85-84. Luqueno trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 29-19 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 84-85 at the end of the game. Olimpia's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Asuncion Felix Perez.

Felix Perez - Libertad 65-70

Very significant was Libertad's (#2) 70-65 road victory against Felix Perez. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 15-8. But Felix Perez won second period 19-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Daniel Hure (200-PF-85) provided 18 points in the win.
