America defeated Capitan Bado 88-72 to remain in the leading position of Paraguay's Asociacion Pilarense de Baloncesto Tournament (APB), with a win-loss record of 4-1 and 9 points, while current title holders Primero de Mayo, Atletico Pilarense and Deportivo Obrero share second place with a 3-2 record and 8 points and both Crucecita and Capitan Bado share last place with a 1-4 record and 6 points.

America was able to take down Capitan Bado despites a great effort by Ricardo Marecos (96) for the losing side with 25 points. Meanchile, Deportivo Obrero took down Atletico Pilarense 91-77. Fernando Dose (198-F-94) netted 30 points for the winning team. Primero de Mayo woke up to defeat Crucecita 70-64, thanks to 24 points by Luis Ljubetic (181-PG-87).

According to Puro Deporte, Leandro Ferreira of Deportivo Obrero leads the scorers with 117 points after 5 rounds. Edgar Riveros (184-PG-91) of America and Lucas Saldivar of Atletico Pilarense share second place with 107 points each.

The three-point scorers are led by Richard Ozuna of America with 17, Victor Brizuela (195-F-76) of Deportivo Obrero with 14, Victor Sosa of Capitan Bado and Leandro Ferreira of Deportivo Obrero with 13 each.

San Jose and Olimpia reach the Final as they finished on top of Final Four Stage. In the last game San Jose overcame Libertad 89-83. Both teams were tied at 61-61, while San Jose pulled the lead and won the game. Olimpia finished on top beating Sol de America 84-78. They trailed 5 points at the end of the third period, but managed to dominate the last quarter and won the game.   [read more]

Three teams share the top in Metro Final Four stage with 2-1 records, while Libertad is last with a 0-3 record. In the last games Sol de America overcame Olimpia 107-106 in the top game and handed them their first loss. Earlier San Jose improved to a 2-1 record beating Libertad 98-81.
