The regular season of Paraguay's Asociacion Pilarense de Baloncesto League (APB) has ended with 4 teams making it to the playoffs after 10 rounds of games. America finished up with 19 points (9-1), followed by Primero de Mayo with 16 (6-4), Deportivo Obrero with 16 (6-4) and Capitan Bado with 14 (4-6). Atletico Pilarense (3-7, 13) and Crucecita (2-8, 12) are out of the race.

In Matchday 10, America defeated Capitan Bado 87-60 with 21 points by Edgar Riveros (184-PG-91) as its top scorer. Meanwhile, Primero de Mayo had no trouble to take down Deportivo Obrero, 98-65, despites the fact that Luis Ocampos (G/F) netted 24 points for the losing side. Deportivo Obrero left Atletico Pilarense out of the competition with a victory, 105-95. Lucas Saldivar netted 35 points for Atletico Pilarense but it wasn't enough.

Saldivar led the scorers in the regular season with 230 points (23.0 per game), followed by Leandro Ferreira of Deportivo Obrero with 210 (21.0) and Luis Ocampos of Crucecita with 175 (17.5).

Benjamin Aceval of Atletico Pilarense scored 43 three-point shots in 10 games, his teammate Saldivar added 32 and Richard Ozuna of America finished up with 27.

The Semifinals will be played under a round robin format at Municipal Arena in Pilar.

San Jose and Olimpia reach the Final - 5 days ago
San Jose and Olimpia reach the Final as they finished on top of Final Four Stage. In the last game San Jose overcame Libertad 89-83. Both teams were tied at 61-61, while San Jose pulled the lead and won the game. Olimpia finished on top beating Sol de America 84-78. They trailed 5 points at the end of the third period, but managed to dominate the last quarter and won the game.   [read more]

Three teams share the top in Metro Final Four stage with 2-1 records, while Libertad is last with a 0-3 record. In the last games Sol de America overcame Olimpia 107-106 in the top game and handed them their first loss. Earlier San Jose improved to a 2-1 record beating Libertad 98-81.
