After losing all game long by an average of 10 points,EXA SANJOSE got into a rally of 8-1 in the last minute
of the game to beat CNC30 last night in the 5th semi final game of the IV MAXI30 Planeta Basket League-

Sergio Lopez (189-G/F-86) grabbed an offensive rebound with 2 seconds on the clock , powered up Ovaldo Dominguez and
Luis Fernado Dose to convert a 2 pointer to win by one in the final second.

CNC30 controlled the whole game with great defense and fast breaks- Nestor Rolon (F) was always strong reaching
reabounds in defense, Dose was very accuratte from long distance hiiting 6 three pointers, as well as Daniel Talavera (179-PG-77)
who hit 3 downtown shots even though he is coming from a torned ankle.

Giosvall Acosta , coach from CNC30 saind he cannot believe what has happende in the final minute. We lost control
of the momentun, did not make important free throws and lost two balls.

On the other side, Sergio Lopez made 36 points becoming by far the IV MAXI 30 score leader and the
ALL TIME MAXI 30 scoring leader as well.

Miguel Mora (183-G/F-82) was accurate at the point guard position, and Juan Cameron did a great effort at the front court battling
almost alone against Nestor Rolon and Osvaldo Dominguez

EXA SANJOSE has almost clinched a spot at the FINAL SERIES. They only need to play all 3 games left and even losing
all 3 they will be playing the FINALS- Congratulations EXA SAN JOSE-

San Jose and Olimpia reach the Final - 3 days ago
San Jose and Olimpia reach the Final as they finished on top of Final Four Stage. In the last game San Jose overcame Libertad 89-83. Both teams were tied at 61-61, while San Jose pulled the lead and won the game. Olimpia finished on top beating Sol de America 84-78. They trailed 5 points at the end of the third period, but managed to dominate the last quarter and won the game.   [read more]

Three teams share the top in Metro Final Four stage with 2-1 records, while Libertad is last with a 0-3 record. In the last games Sol de America overcame Olimpia 107-106 in the top game and handed them their first loss. Earlier San Jose improved to a 2-1 record beating Libertad 98-81. At the end of September Olimpia edged Libertad 126-105 as O'Louis McCullough (198-G/F-82, college: Francis Marion, agency: DTMones) nailed 37 points.   [read more]

Libertad - Sol de America 94-101 Sol de America victoriously opened Final Four campaign. They upset Libertad on the road in the opener. Libertad led by a single point at halftime 50:49. But Sol de America stepped on the gas in the second half and raced to a hard-fought victory. David Leroy posted 29 points to pace the winners. Jose Zamora provided 25 points.
