The biggest surprise of round 13 was guest Libertad's (10-2) easy road victory over much higher ranked Luqueno (9-3) 71-56 on Tuesday evening. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Luqueno. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Libertad have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to second place. Luqueno at the other side dropped to the third position with three games lost. They share it with Sol de America. Libertad are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Dep.Capiata (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Luqueno will play against the league's leader Olimpia (#1) in Asuncion and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Asuncion: Olimpia (#1) and Sol de America (#3). Olimpia (11-0) won against visiting Sol de America (9-3) 87-77. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Sol de America. The victory was the eleventh consecutive win for Olimpia. Defending champion maintains first place with 11-0 record. Sol de America at the other side keeps the third position with three games lost. They share it with Luqueno. Olimpia will play against Luqueno (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Sol de America's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Asuncion to the arena San Jose.
Bottom-ranked Dep.Capiata (0-11) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 90-62 loss to seventh ranked Felix Perez (3-8) in on Tuesday evening. Felix Perez maintains seventh place with 3-8 record. Dep.Capiata lost their eleventh game in a row. They still close the standings with 11 games lost. Felix Perez will meet Ciudad Nueva (#8) in the next round. Dep.Capiata will play against the league's second-placed Libertad having rather not much hope for a victory.

San Jose maintains sixth place with 4-8 record. San Lorenzo at the other side keeps the fifth position with seven games lost. San Jose's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Asuncion Sol de America.

Dep.Capiata - Felix Perez 62-90

Libertad Asuncion (Metropolitan League) added to their roster American forward Lenjo Kilo (203-109kg, college: Savannah State). He played last season at T.Hesperange in Luxembourg N2 league.
