Barquisimeto, Venezuela.- After a successful 6-game stint as foreign players for Power de Ayacucho in Peru's Super 8 action, Venezuelans Reimer Machado, Junior Martinez (200-F-92) and Gregory Curvelo (190-G-90) are switching teams to keep playing overseas.

Machado, who averaged 19.0 points, 5.0 assists, 4.0 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game in 6 games, will move to Regatas de Lima to be a part of the structure that will participate in the upcoming 2016 South American League.

Meanwhile, Martinez and Curvelo will move to Monumental Heat of Huancayo. Martinez averaged 22.0 points, 9.0 rebounds, 3.0 blocks and 2.0 assists in 6 games, while Curvelo was also brilliant, including 5 double-double games with averages of 24.0 points, 10.0 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 2.0 blocks per game in 6 games.

Power de Ayacucho was coached by Venezuelan Jean Carrasco, a young coach making his pro debut overseas. Another team with a young Venezuelan coach in Peru was Juventus Lambeyeque, hiring Darwin Veliz for the task.

Other Venezuelan players in the league are Kelvin Caraballo (195-F-88), Jaime Finol (195-F-87) and Luis Mora (188-G-99), playing for Trujillo BCT, Elvis Baez (189-PG-89), playing for UCP Iquitos, Johnathan Figuera (198-F-90) and Amber Marin (208-C-81), as part of SHK Juliaca Huancayo and Jorge Parra (206-C-84, college: NE Oklahoma A&M CC), playing for Faraday Arequipa.
  



LBL Round 7: Regatas defeat Inmaculada in the closest game of the week - 2 days ago
Host teams show no mercy winning all games. The most exciting game of round 7 in the LBL took place in Lima. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 4th placed Inmaculada (4-3) to second ranked Regatas (6-1) 59-57 in the game for the second place. Club Trujillo (LNB) inked 27-year old American swingman Quinton McDuffie (197-104kg-90, college: Chowan). He played most recently at Gorazde in Bosnia and Herzegovina D2 league. The last season McDuffie played at Parque Sur in Argentinian TFB where in 14 games he averaged 8.0ppg and 3.5rpg. His college team won ODAC Tournament in 2009. McDuffie is a very experienced player. LBL Round 6 of Regular Season - 4 days ago
There will be only one (last) round of the Regular Season in LBL. The biggest surprise of round 6 was guest Inmaculada's (4-2) easy road victory over one of their biggest challengers EOFap (3-3) 65-47 on Friday evening. Inmaculada moved-up to third place. EOFap at the other side dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. They share it with Circolo and San Marcos.
