Arecibo Capitanes defend BSN title! - Aug 2, 2011

BSN Finals, Game 5: Quebradillas - Arecibo 74-79

Arecibo Capitanes handed 79-74 home loss to Quebradillas winning the Finals with almost perfect 4-1. It means that Capitanes defended the title which they won last year. Before that, Capitanes were champions in 2005.
The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Quebradillas won fourth quarter 22-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Strangely Quebradillas outrebounded Capitanes 48-33 including 21 on the offensive glass. American-Panamanian guard Danilo Pinnock (196-83, college: George Washington, agency: SportsTalent) orchestrated the victory by scoring 18 points and 9 rebounds. International guard Larry Ayuso (190-77, college: USC, agency: Global Sports Plaza) contributed with 22 points and 4 steals for the winners. Capitanes' coach David Rosario used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. International guard David Huertas (196-87, college: Mississippi) answered with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 12 rebounds and international center Peter John Ramos (222-85) added 23 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Quebradillas.
Capitanes ended as No.2 in regular season with 19-11 record. Later they eliminated Coamo and Guaynabo in the Quarterfinals and Semis.
