Here is a list, in chronological order, of the BSN Awards for the 2011 season as voted by the specialized press, media personnel and coaches and owners:

Denis Clemente (185-PG-86, agency: KMG Sports Management, college: Kansas St.) won almost unanimously the Rookie of the Year award.

Shavlik Randolph (208-F-83, college: Duke) won Import Player of the Year, followed closely by Mike Harris (198-F-83, college: Rice).

Kleon Penn (211-C-86, agency: Paris Global Sports, college: McNeese St.) won Defensive Player of the year, with Javier Mojica (190-G-84, agency: Alti Sport, college: Cent.Conn.St.) coming in a distant second and Richard Chaney (196-G-84, college: Troy) a more distant third.

Ricky Sanchez (212-C/F-87) won the Most Improved Player award by a landslide, with Johwen Villegas (193-G-85, college: FIU), who
had a breakout season, coming in a distant second.

Nelson Colon won Coach of the Year and Edwin Mundo won GM/Owner of the Year for Atleticos de San German.

Guillermo Diaz (188-G-85, college: Miami, FL) won Finals MVP.

The All Defensive team was named with Kleon Penn, Ricky Sanchez, Carmelo Antrone Lee (201-F-77, agency: Paris Global Sports, college: Long Beach St.), Richard Chaney and Javier Mojica.

Christian Dalmau (194-G-77, agency: Paris Global Sports, college: Daytona Beach CC) won his second consecutive MVP, followed by Peter John Ramos (222-C-85) and Angel Daniel Vasallo.

Piratas of Quebradillas complete their import player duo with veteran point guard Marcus Williams(191-G-85, college: Connecticut). Williams played already in Quebradillas in 2009. He average that season 16ppg, 4.8rpg and 9.0apg. The other import player is Rayshawn Terry. Williams is an excellent point guard and have a tremendous court vision. Vaqueros of Bayamon complete their import player duo with center Devin Williams(206-F-94, college: W.Virginia). Williams is in his second year of pro. He played this season en the GLeague averaging 11.8ppg and 10.9rpg, also played for team USA in the FIBA classifications. The other import player is Ricky Ledo. Williams is an excellent rebounder and defend well in the paint. Bayamon expect to use him in the center position but he can play the power forward. Bayamon will have good players...   [read more]

Cariduros of Fajardo complete their import player duo with center Omar Samhan(211-C-88, college: St.Mary's, CA) Samhan have two year experience in BSN. He first come with Atleticos of San German and last year with Santeros of Aguada. The other import player is Damion James. Samhan is an excellent rebounder and defend well in the paint.
