Indios de Mayaguez recovered from a very slow start and dominated Vaqueros de Bayamon 85-66.
Indios now have a 2-1 series lead and the semifinals continue on Monday at Bayamon.
Bayamon started the game with a 12-0 run, and even had a 17-3 lead midway into the first quarter, but Mayaguez kept chipping away to be down at the half 34-32.
In the third quarter Mayaguez scored 32 points against just 12 from Bayamon and never looked back.
Oritseweyinmi Efejuku (196-G-86, college: Providence) had 18 points and Donta Smith (201-G-83, college: SE Illinois JC) 12 for Mayaguez who keep dominating in the second half thanks to their large rotation, intensity and youth.
Bayamon shot 25 times from three point range and their best scorer was center Michael Sweetney (203-F-82, college: Georgetown) who had 12 points.
Brujos de Guayama announced the signing of forward/center Yancy Gates (206-F-89, college: Cincinnati). His debut is expected to be tonight against Indios de Mayaguez.
