Obras Sanitarias Buenos Aires (LigaA) cut 25-year old Puerto Rican international swingman David Huertas (195-89kg-87, college: Mississippi). In 11 LigaA games he played this season he averaged 11.5ppg, 1.8rpg and 1.3apg.
He ended the last season at Metros in Dominican Rep. LNB. But the most of that year Huertas spent at Quebradillas in Puerto Rican BSN. In 40 games he had 12.7ppg, 4.1rpg and 2.4apg. It was a very successful season in his career as he was selected to Latinbasket.com All-BSN Honorable Mention.
Huertas played in the final of Puerto Rican BSN in 2009 and 2011.
He received also Latinbasket.com All-Centrobasket 1st Team award in 2012. Huertas represented Puerto Rico at the Olympic Games Additional Qualifying Round in Caracas (Venezuela) this year. His stats at that event were 3 games: 5.3ppg, 2.7rpg, FGP: 16.7%, 3PT: 30.8%.
Huertas has played previously professionally in France (Fos Ouest) and Greece (Marousi).
He attended The University of Mississippi until 2009 and it is his fourth season in pro basketball.

Cariduros de Fajardo signed veteran center Shawn James(208-C-83, college: Northeastern) for the 2017 season. James just played for KK Buducnost Voli Podgoric in Montenegro and averaged 9.8 points, 6.4 rebounds and 1.6 blocks in 12 games.
