Cangrejeros de Santurce contacted former NBA player Carlos Arroyo (188-G-79, agency: Interperformances, college: FIU) to see if he is interested to return to BSN in the 2013 season.

Arroyo played in Santurce from 1998 to 2003 where he won five titles. His experience with such a complete team filled with veterans helped him reach the NBA in 2001.

Team owner Angelo Medina talked to him and told El Nuevo Dia newspaper that Arroyo is happy that Santurce returns and also has offers from China and Turkey. Medina could make a run for Arroyo since he could be free by mid-2013.

After the voters in San Juan elected a new mayor, Medina saw an opening to return to Roberto Clemente Coliseum in 2013. Santurce has played in other places since 2005 because of disputes with the former mayor, Jorge Santini.

Santurce could present a competitive roster since they have Walter Hodge, Javi Gonzalez, Ricky Sanchez and Richard Chaney under reserve.
