Angelico Biella (SerieA) strengthened their roster with addition of 30-year old American forward Kevinn Pinkney (207-111kg-83, college: Nevada). Its actually his comeback to Angelico Biella as he played here before. Pinkney played in the summer at Atleticos de San German in Puerto Rican BSN league. In 17 games he recorded 10.7ppg, 7.2rpg and 1.2apg. He also played at Aliaga Petkim (TBL) in Turkish TBL that season. In 13 games last season he averaged 8.6ppg, 4.2rpg, 1.2apg and 1.3spg. The most of previous (10-11) season Pinkney spent at Enisey Krasnoyarsk (PBL) in Russian PBL. In 19 games that year he averaged 7.7ppg, 3.8rpg and 1.5apg. He helped them to make it to the cup semifinals. The other team Pinkney played that season for was Union Olimpija Ljubljana (Euroleague) in Slovenian league. In 15 games he averaged 10.7ppg, 3.5rpg and 1.0apg. He also played 18 games in Adriatic League where he averaged 10.6ppg and 3.9rpg.
In 2005 Pinkney was drafted by Sioux Falls Skyforce (CBA) in fifth round (48th overall).
The former University of Nevada standout is in his eighth season in pro basketball.
Among other achievements Pinkneys team won Slovenian Cup in 2011. He was selected to Slovenian League All-Star Game in 2011.
Pinkney is a very experienced player. He has played also professionally in France, Israel (Hapoel Migdal Jerusalem), Poland, NBA (Boston Celtics and Washington Wizards), Italy (Cantu), Slovenia (Un.Olimpija) and D-League (Bakersfield Jam).
The scouts decsribe him following way: Raw athlete with good size and good hands...Has skills and mobility to counter stronger power forwards... Possesses good shot blocking ability. Has displayed a good shooting touch from the 17- to 18-foot range. He gets good position inside and is quick to the ball. Made a huge work in bulking-up, because he weighed just 190 pounds when he entered Nevada. Hes the typical late bloomer, who has yet upside.
