Defending champion Piratas de Quebradillas (BSN) tabbed experienced 34-year old American forward Reyshawn Terry (203-109kg-84, college: N.Carolina). He played recently at played at Mobis Phoebus in South Korean KBL league. In 57 games he averaged impressive 22.5ppg, 7.4rpg, 1.9apg and 1.4spg this season. He was also selected League Player of the Week. The most of last season Terry spent at Ryukyu (B League) in Japan where in 44 games he had very remarkable stats: 15.4ppg, 5.7rpg and 1.5apg. He helped them to end the regular season as a second best team in B League West Division. Terry also played for LG Sakers (also in KBL) that season. In only one game he recorded high stats: 27 points, 14 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals. In 2007 Terry was drafted by Orlando Magic (NBA) in second round (44th overall). He attended University of North Carolina and it will be his eleventh (!!!) season in pro basketball. Among other achievements Terry won Dominican Rep. LNB South Division championship title in 2015. He received also Latinbasket.com All-Dominican Rep. LNB Player of the Year award and Latinbasket.com All-Dominican Rep. LNB Import player of the Year award back in 2015. Terry represented USA at the West Asia Basketball Championships in Tehran (Iran) five years ago. His team won Silver. Terry is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball he experienced life in ten different countries playing on four different continents. He is familiar with European, Asian, Latin American and of course North American leagues. Terry has played previously professionally in France (Le Mans), Germany, Greece, Italy, Lebanon (Tadamon, Champville and Al Moutahed), Spain, Ukraine (Khimik), Venezuela (Trotamundos), Puerto Rico (Santeros) and Dominican Republic (Caneros de La Romana, La Villa and JH Rodriguez). Let's have closer look into His outlook:
(by Matthew Maurer for NBADraft.net in 2007)
Terry has a good amount of quickness to create separation from his defender. Athletically he is among the elite level athletes at his position in the college game. Physically he has all the tools one looks for in a defender. Long arms, quickness, and size Underrated ball handler who can take opposing players off the dribble. Great help defender who gets a number of shot blocks by rotating over.
Has always been a bit of an inconsistent player who goes through periods of streaky play. Has a tendency to gamble too much on steals which can leave him out of position giving his man the open look.
