Justin Keenan (202-F/C-88, college: Ferris St.) is the third import of Caciques/Gigantes to start the 2013 season.

Keenan played for Trouville in Uruguay and averaged 26,3 points and 9,2 rebounds. He will cover Seth Scott until his arrival from Australia.

The 24 year old forward starts the season along with imports Jamelle Horne and Gilbert Brown.

Their first home game is April 2 in Humacao against Cangrejeros de Santurce.

TBL newcomer Duzce Belediye tabbed 29-year old American (has also Puerto Rican passport) point guard TreVon Hughes (183-88kg-87, college: Wisconsin). He played most recently at Cholet Basket in French ProA. In 33 games he averaged 8.1ppg, 2.5rpg, 2.7apg and 1.2spg last season. Hughes ended the previous (2014-15) season at Sakarya BSB (TB2L) where in 15 games he had 14.6ppg, 4.3rpg, 3.1apg and 2.1spg. Fuerza Regia Monterrey (LNBP) inked 29-year old Puerto Rican international power forward Ricardo Sanchez (212-104kg-87, agency: BeoBasket). He played in the summer at Brujos de Guayama in Puerto Rican BSN league. In 16 games he averaged 10.6ppg, 4.8rpg and 2.6apg. Sanchez also played that season for Manati (also in BSN) where in 24 games he had 13.3ppg, 5.1rpg, 2.4apg and 1.2spg. Puerto Rico triumphs at 2016 Centrobasket U15 Championship - 1 day ago

Puerto Rico triumphed at 2016 Centrobasket U15 Championship beating the Dominican Republic 74-67 in the Final game. Puerto Rico started with a 17-11 lead and added a 23-14 rally in the second period. Dominican Republic managed to post two narrow wins in the second half, but could not win the game. Miranda top-scored for the winners with 28 points and 12 rebounds, while Curbelo added 18. Jones replied with 23 points in a loss. Mexico finished third and Panama ended up on the fourth place.   [read more]
