The 2017 BSN Rookie Draft is scheduled for Wednesday, February 22. Guayama owns the first pick of the draft. The league is expected to announce the official draft order in the upcoming days.

Players interested in joining the league must fill out a form by February 15 to enter the draft pool. Some of the requirements include being at least 18 years of age, being born in Puerto Rico or one of his parents or grandparents. Also, a player can join the league via the draft if they can prove permanent residence in Puerto Rico over the last three years.
