Aguada welcomes back Mendoza, ex La Mattica - Mar 25, 2017

Mendoza
Santeros de Aguada (BSN) landed 25-year old Dominican guard Rigoberto Mendoza (190-92). It is actually his comeback to Santeros as he has played here before. Mendoza played in the summer at La Mattica in La Vega League in Dominican Republic. He also played that season for Santeros de Aguada where in 44 BSN games he averaged impressive 18.0ppg, 5.5rpg, 2.8apg and 1.5spg. Mendoza helped them to make it to the semifinals. It was a very successful season in his career as he was selected to Latinbasket.com All-Puerto Rican BSN 1st Team, All-Imports Team and All-Defensive Team. Mendoza also spent pre-season at Reales (LNB) in Dominican Rep. league that year.
Among other achievements he played in the final of Dominican Rep. District National League in 2013.
Mendoza represented Dominican Republic at the Centrobasket in Panama City (Panama) last year. His team won Bronze and his stats at that event were 6 games: 10.5ppg, 4.8rpg, 1.7apg, FGP: 38.2%, 3PT: 33.3%, FT: 86.7%.
And here thanks to pro basketball Mendoza experienced life on three different continents. He is familiar with European, Latin American and of course North American leagues. Mendoza has played previously professionally also in Spain (Sammic Iraurgi Saski Baloia) and Dominican Republic (Los Minas and Sharks).

He could not help Olimpico de La Banda (15-19) in their last game.
