BSN Regular Season is still in too early stage and there may be still significant changes in the standings.

The most surprising game was the first loss of Santeros (3-1) in Coamo on Wednesday night. Hosts were defeated by eleventh ranked Brujos (1-3) 75-58. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Santeros. Santeros were tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Brujos dominated on the defensive end, holding Santeros to just 6 points in fourth quarter. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Damien Wilkins (198-80, college: Georgia) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 4 assists and the former international Elias Ayuso (190-77, college: USC, agency: Paris Global Sports) who added 22 points during the contest. At the losing side the former international forward Gilberto Clavell (200-89, college: Sam Houston St., agency: Inception Sports) responded with 12 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Brujos left bottom position moving up to seventh place, which they share with 3 other teams. Santeros at the other side dropped to the second position with one game lost. They share it with Fajardo. Brujos is looking forward to face Vaqueros (#9) in Bayamon in the next round. Santeros will play against Fajardo (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Very significant was Atleticos' (#5) 87-82 road victory against 7th ranked Vaqueros. The winners were led by forward Benito Santiago (198-89, college: Cumberlands, agency: Paris Global Sports) who scored that evening 14 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and Justin Keenan supported him with 16 points and 6 rebounds. Even a double-double of 10 points, 14 rebounds and 8 assists by Nigerian center Jeleel Akindele (216-83, college: Chicago St., agency: BeoBasket) did not help to save the game for Vaqueros. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Atleticos maintains fifth position with 2-2 record, which they share with Humacao. Vaqueros at the other side keep the seventh place with three games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. Atleticos will play against league's leader Piratas in Quebradillas in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Vaqueros will play on the road against Brujos (#10) in Guayama to get more than just one victory in their record.
The game in Juana Diaz was also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Fajardo (3-1) played at the court of 8th ranked Leones (1-3). Fajardo defeated Leones 91-78 on Thursday. Carlos Arroyo fired 21 points and 6 assists for the winners. Hakim Warrick produced 22 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Fajardo moved-up to second place, which they share with Aguada. Leones lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh position with three games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Fajardo will meet league's second-placed Santeros in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Leones will play against Capitanes (#4) in Arecibo and hope to win that game.

In the last game of round 4 Mayaguez lost to Humacao on the opponent's court 90-98.

Bayamon - San German 82-87

Very significant was Atleticos' (#5) 87-82 road victory against 7th ranked Vaqueros. Vaqueros were ahead by 1 point at the halftime before a 31-20 third quarter run of Atleticos. The winners were led by forward Benito Santiago (198-89, college: Cumberlands, agency: Paris Global Sports) who scored that evening 14 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and American power forward Justin Keenan (202-88, college: Ferris St.) supported him with 16 points and 6 rebounds. Even a double-double of 10 points, 14 rebounds and 8 assists by Nigerian center Jeleel Akindele (216-83, college: Chicago St., agency: BeoBasket) did not help to save the game for Vaqueros. Naturalized Mexican guard Joseph Soto (190-93) added 23 points for lost side. Four Vaqueros players scored in double figures.
