Mike Harris
Leones de Ponce (BSN) inked experienced 34-year old American small forward Mike Harris (198-107kg-83, college: Rice). It is actually his comeback to Leones as he has played here before. Harris He moved there from Sichuan Blue Whales in Chinese CBA league where he started the season. In 11 games he averaged impressive 22.7ppg, 9.8rpg and 2.0apg this season. The last season Harris played also at Blue Whales (also in CBA). In 47 games he had very remarkable stats: 30.4ppg, 11.5rpg, 2.6apg and 1.1spg. He helped them to win the league title (twice) despite they ended the regular season at the second place (twice). A very good season in his career as he was awarded Asia-Basket.com All-Chinese CBA Player of the Year, Import Player of the Year and Forward of the Year.
Harris has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2012.
Among other achievements he received Latinbasket.com All-Puerto Rican BSN Imported Player of the Year award in 2013 and 2015.
Harris is a very experienced player. He has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to five different countries on three different continents (Asia, Latin America and of course North America). Harris has played previously professionally also in Iran, Kuwait (Al Qadsia), Ukraine and NBA (Houston Rockets, Utah Jazz, Washington Wizards and Minnesota Timberwolves) and China (Golden Bulls, Jiangsu Dragons, Leopards and Eagles).
He attended Rice University until 2005 and it is his twelfth (!!!) season in pro basketball.

There will be only one (last) round of the Regular Season in BSN. What a coincidence that all visitors won their games. The game between second ranked Cariduros (21-13) and sixth ranked Capitanes (17-17) was the most important one in the last round on Monday night. Cariduros were crushed by Capitanes in Fajardo 68-103. The game was mostly controlled by Capitanes. Cariduros managed to win fourth quarter 24-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Capitanes...   [read more]
