Affrico Basket Firenze (Lega Due Silver) strengthened their roster with addition of 27-year old St.Kitts-Kittitian swingman Kyle Swanston (201-86, college: JMU, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management). He played last season at Kaposvari in Hungarian A Division. In 41 games he was second best scorer with impressive 20.5ppg and had 4.7rpg, 1.5apg and 1.5spg. He helped them to make it to the semifinals. Great season indeed as he was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Hungarian League 1st Team and All-Imports Team. The most of previous (2011-12) season Swanston spent at Akita Happinets (BJ League) in Japan. In 25 games he recorded very remarkable stats: 17.7ppg, 4.1rpg and 1.9apg that season. He also played at Palencia Baloncesto (LEB Gold) in Spanish league that season. In 14 games he averaged 6.9ppg and 2.2rpg.
The previous (10-11) season Swanston played at CB Clavijo (LEB Gold) in Spanish league. In 28 games he averaged 13.4ppg, 2.9rpg and 1.1apg. He contributed to his team winning the league title and the cup. A very good season in his career as he was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Spanish LEB Silver Honorable Mention.
In 2009-10 season Swanston played at Lapuan Korikobrat (Korisliiga) in Finnish league. In 27 games he was the best scorer with great 21.3ppg and recorded 5.4rpg and 1.1spg. He contributed to his team making it to the final after they ended regular season as second best team. It was a very successful season as he was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Finnish 1st Division 1st Team and All-Imports Team.
Swanston graduated from James Madison University in 2009 and it is his fifth season as a professional player.
