Despite he doesn't get so many minutes this season with the Orlando Magic, Adonal Foyle (207-F-75, college: Colgate) for sure can be satisfied with the results of his team. After 4-2 in the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals against the Philadelphia 76ers, Foyle and his teammates managed to win in Boston last night taking 1-0 lead in the semis. Unfortunately Adonal Foyle spent the entire time on the bench. Dwight Howard (6'10''-F-85), who returned from his one-game suspension, stepped up for the winners with 16 points and 22 rebounds. The Magic opened a 28-point lead early in the second half before Boston cut the deficit to 91-87 in the final 2 minutes. The Celtics had several chances to come within one possession - the best Ray Allen's 3-pointer that rimmed out with 43 seconds left. Paul Pierce (6'7''-F-77, college: Kansas) made a 3-pointer with 6.6 seconds left to make it a three-point game, but J.J. Redick (6'4''-G-84, college: Duke) went 4-for-4 from the line in the last 14 seconds to ice it. Pierce scored 16 of his 23 points in the second half and Rajon Rondo (6'1''-G-86, college: Kentucky) had 14 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists. Game 2 is Wednesday night in Boston. In game number 3 the underdog Philadelphia 76ers stunned the Orlando Magic when a last-second shot gave them a 96-94 victory and a lead in their playoff series on Friday. Thaddeus Young maneuvered around the league's top defensive player Dwight Howard for a layup with two seconds left to lift the 76ers to a 2-1 advantage in the best-of-seven playoff. Andre Miller (6'3''-G-76, college: Utah) added 24 and nine rebounds for the 76ers, who led by as much as 17 before the Magic embarked on an 18-4 run to pull within 78-75 late in the third quarter. Courtney Lee (6'5''-G/F-85, agency: Arik Krayn Services, college: W.Kentucky) led the scorers in victory nailing 24 points.
