Eurobasket names Sancho Lyttle (193-C-83, college: Houston) Player of the Year in EuroLeague as Vincentian-Spanish player had an outstanding season abroad. Sancho Lyttle and her Halcon Avenida steals the 5th straight title from Spartak at the EuroLeague Women Final. Both teams produced another great Final Four game, while the Spanish squad triumphed with 68:59. Halcon Avenida took control from the opening quarter and did not allow the defending champions to recover. The Spanish team grabbed 14:8 lead after 10 minutes adding 16-14 in the second frame. Moreover the third quarter as well belonged to the new champions as they had 20-16 in it for Marta Xargay Casademont made it 55:43 and Epiphanny Prince netted two free throws for 55:45. Taj McWilliams-Franklin reduced to 55:47 but DeSouza and Silvia Dominguez made it 57:48 from the free throw line. Taj McWilliams-Franklin reduced again to 58:52 and then for 60:54. Sancho Lyttle and De Mondt were perfect from the line for 64:57 with 1 minute remaining. Silvia Dominguez increased to 66:57 and again Taj McWilliams-Franklin brought Sparatk back to 7 points. De Mondt made another two free throws for 68:59 and it became clear at that time about the winner. That also became the Final score in the game. Silvia Dominguez paced all the winners with 16 points for the amazing win. Alba Torrens netted 13, while Sancho Lyttle collected 12 points and 13 rebounds. Taj McWilliams-Franklin ended up with 17 points and 11 rebounds in the losing effort. Sue Bird scored 16 and Epiphanny Prince added 12 points.

Lyttle had 12.8 ppg, 7.4 rpg and 2.4 apg for 17 games in this competition. Ros Casares also played in the Spanish Cup Finals. Sancho Lyttle won the Euroleague and LFB titles with Perfumerias last season and now she repeated the same success, but with Ros Casares. Lyttle was named Eurobasket.com All-Europe Center of the Year 2011. Sancho Lyttle played for Saint Vincente National Team in 2004.

Spanish National Team member Sancho Lyttle (192-C-83, college: Houston) and her team Atlanta Dream will fight for the WNBA title again. They managed to beat Indiana Fever in crucial Game Three 83-67 to win the Eastern Conference with 2-1 in the series. Lyttle and her teammates will meet Minnesota Lynx in the WNBA Finals. Game Three report - Angel McCoughtry scored 26 points and Iziane Castro Marques added 23 and the Atlanta Dream defeated the Indiana Fever 83-67 on Tuesday night to win the series 2-1 and advance to the WNBA finals for the second straight year. Lindsey Harding scored 16 points and Sancho Lyttle added 10 points, 11 rebounds and five steals for the Dream. Atlanta will play at Minnesota on Sunday in Game 1 of the best-of-five series. Indiana's Tamika Catchings, the WNBA MVP, played despite dealing with pain from plantar fasciitis in her right foot. She had six points, five rebounds and four fouls as a reserve. Katie Douglas had 16 points and nine rebounds and Tammy Sutton-Brown added 11 points and nine rebounds for top-seeded Indiana. Sancho Lyttle appeared 27 times for Atlanta so far this season averaging 10.4 points, 6.6 rebounds and 2 assists. Atlanta Dream reached WNBA Finals last season as well, but they failed to win the title. Now they have a second chance.
