The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Basketball Federation announces a 21 man training squad for possible selection to the National Male Team and 27 for possible selection to the National Female Team. The names are:

Men:
Deran Williams, Lezzo McKenzie, Kenroy Baptiste, Iva Arthur, Kendal Pinder, Mauricio Woods, Shannon Peters, Dale Shepherd, Leon Jackson, Ishama McKree, Glen Smith, Randolph Williams (188-G-76), Lemmon Miller, Philmon Taylor, Orlando Ferguson, Michael Penniston, Kendal Cumberbatch, Steveon Taylor, Damon Haywood, Julius Kier and Otis Hector.
These players are expected to attend their first practice session and meeting at the New Montrose Hard Court on Wednesday May 11th at 6 p.m. The Male team is expected to defend its championship title in the 2011 Windward Islands Basketball Championship in Dominica, July 12th 17th, then, journey to Bahamas for the Caribbean Basketball Confederation (CBC) tournament with their female counterpart July 25th to August 5th.

The Coaching Staff includes but not limited to: Junior Sutton, Wayne Williams, Oral Roberts and Darwin Vanloo. Karel Bramble and Kenlyn Clouden are the Managers. Invitations have been sent to the overseas based players.

2017 Bequia Basketball Titles Decided - 3 months ago
The three divisional titles in the 2017 Vita Malt Bequia Basketball Association's tournament were decided last weekend at the Clive Tannis Hard Court. On Sunday, Hawks completed a 2-1 triumph over Dragons, to take the Under-16 Division. Hawks won game three 38-29, thanks to 20 points and 16 rebounds from the palms of Darren John. Mc Coy Hazell had 13 points for Dragons on the evening. Hawks had tied the series 1-1 on Saturday night, with a 54-34 trumping over their opponents   [read more]

L'union Lourdes-Tarbes Pyrenees Basket (NM1) inked 28-year old Canadian forward Lien Phillip (203-89). He has a double citizenship as he also holds Vincentian passport. Phillip is not a newcomer in French League as he played most recently at Prisse Macon (NM2). The previous (15-16) season Phillip played at Basket Club Ardres (also in NM2). VIN - Bequia Basketball Elects Executive Committee for 2017-2019 period - 5 months ago
The Membership of the Bequia Basketball Association elected a new Executive Committee to serve for two years from 2017 to 2019 on June 19th at the Bequia District Council. Sabrina Mitchell was re-elected uncontested as President, to lead the organization for another term. The annual tournament, going into its 19th consecutive season begins soon, opening on July 15th and running until August 27th.
