Bermudas had a joyful Day One of the CBC championship in Nassau. They outplayed Saint Vincent 75-56 for 1-0 record in Preliminary Group B. Participants of the same pool are also British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands and the host Bahamas. Sullivan Phillips (198-G/F-79, agency: Interperformances, college: Wash.Adventist) stepped up for the winners with 18 points and 11 assists. He also grabbed 5 rebounded beside that and reached valuation 22. Jahvon Dean Jones (198-F-83) followed with 16 points and 7 rebounds, while John Lee (82) added 11 pts and 7 rebs. In the loosing squad, Lezlo McKenzie (G-79) was much better than the others. He had 17 points and 12 rebounds for 38 minutes. Dameon Ottley (89) had 12 and Randolph Williams (188-G-76) added 11 pts, plus 7 assists. In the second day of competition, Bermudas will meet Bahamas. Saint Vincent will have a day-off.

Saint-Etienne add Nyika Williams (203-C-87, college: Pacific) from St. Vincent for the next season. The French side brought the player from abroad. In 2007-2008 he started for Barton County CC (JUCO) and then in 2009-2010 moved to Pacific (NCAA). In his season there his stats read 8.1ppg, 4.4rpg, FGP: 58.3%, FT: 55.3%. In 2011-2012 he played for Takamatsu Five Arrows (Japan-BJ League, starting five) and after 50 games averaged 13.2ppg, 8.1rpg, 1.1spg, FGP: 55.4%, FT: 63.5%.    [read more]

The Orlando Magic continued their front-office housecleaning Monday, firing Adonal Foyle (6'10''-F-75, college: Colgate) after two seasons as the teams director of player development. Today was my last day with the Orlando Magic as I was let go, Foyle wrote on his Facebook page. Thank you to the people of Orlando for your incredible support.
