It was the first game of the Classification Round from 5th to 7th place in Nassau. Antigua was too strong for Saint Vincent 82-66 yesterday. It means that Antigua will meet Bermudas in the battle for position No.5. Saint Vincent will take on Guyana for the seventh place. Both games will be played today. Julius Hodge (201-G-83, college: N.Carolina St.) shined for the winners with 21 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. Mario Davis (198-F/G-80, college: Missouri Western) had 16 points and 5 boards, while Lennox McCoy (188-G-77, agency: Prossin Sports Management, college: Cent.Oklahoma) added 15 pts and 5 rebs. In defeat, Dameon Ottley (89) collected 17 pts and 5 rebs. Their second scorer was Randolph Williams (188-G-76) with 12 pts. Quarters: 19-16, 16-26, 22-13, 25-11.

2017 Bequia Basketball Titles Decided - 8 months ago
The three divisional titles in the 2017 Vita Malt Bequia Basketball Association's tournament were decided last weekend at the Clive Tannis Hard Court. On Sunday, Hawks completed a 2-1 triumph over Dragons, to take the Under-16 Division. Hawks won game three 38-29, thanks to 20 points and 16 rebounds from the palms of Darren John. L'union Lourdes-Tarbes Pyrenees Basket (NM1) inked 28-year old Canadian forward Lien Phillip (203-89). He has a double citizenship as he also holds Vincentian passport. Phillip is not a newcomer in French League as he played most recently at Prisse Macon (NM2). The previous (15-16) season Phillip played at Basket Club Ardres (also in NM2).
