Saint-Etienne add Nyika Williams (203-C-87, college: Pacific) from St. Vincent for the next season. The French side brought the player from abroad. In 2007-2008 he started for Barton County CC (JUCO) and then in 2009-2010 moved to Pacific (NCAA). In his season there his stats read 8.1ppg, 4.4rpg, FGP: 58.3%, FT: 55.3%. In 2011-2012 he played for Takamatsu Five Arrows (Japan-BJ League, starting five) and after 50 games averaged 13.2ppg, 8.1rpg, 1.1spg, FGP: 55.4%, FT: 63.5%.

The three divisional titles in the 2017 Vita Malt Bequia Basketball Association's tournament were decided last weekend at the Clive Tannis Hard Court. On Sunday, Hawks completed a 2-1 triumph over Dragons, to take the Under-16 Division. Hawks won game three 38-29, thanks to 20 points and 16 rebounds from the palms of Darren John. L'union Lourdes-Tarbes Pyrenees Basket (NM1) inked 28-year old Canadian forward Lien Phillip (203-89). He has a double citizenship as he also holds Vincentian passport. Phillip is not a newcomer in French League as he played most recently at Prisse Macon (NM2). The previous (15-16) season Phillip played at Basket Club Ardres (also in NM2). VIN - Bequia Basketball Elects Executive Committee for 2017-2019 period - 2 months ago
The Membership of the Bequia Basketball Association elected a new Executive Committee to serve for two years from 2017 to 2019 on June 19th at the Bequia District Council. Sabrina Mitchell was re-elected uncontested as President, to lead the organization for another term. The annual tournament, going into its 19th consecutive season begins soon, opening on July 15th and running until August 27th.
