SVG Basketball Annual General Meeting Takes place April 9th - Mar 25, 2016

The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Basketball Federation will hold its Annual General Meeting on 9th April at the Conference Room of X-PERTS Computer Centre, upstairs the Music Center on Grenville Street here in Kingstown. The Meeting will receive the Federation's Annual Report and Audited Financial Statements, elect the Executive for a new term, and discuss other matters related to the Development of Basketball in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Midnight on Thursday March 31st is the deadline for nominations to the Executive.

Bequia High, Petit Bordel Win 3x3 Schools' Basketball Titles - 15 days ago
The Bequia Community High team one and the Petit Bordel Secondary team one, emerged the male and female division, respectively, in the first ever schools' 3 x 3 Basketball tournament. Their crowning moments came in last Friday afternoon finals, played at the Girls' High School's hard court. Carl A-Z signs Daven Ottley - 17 days ago
Carl A-Z (Libobasquet) signed 28-year old Vincentian ex-international power forward Daven Ottley (203-107kg-89, college: Oklahoma S&A). He moved there from Arcabasket in Paraguayan Metropolitan League where he started the season. Ottley missed last season and had one year break from professional basketball. Ottley also represented Saint Vincent at the CBC Championships in Tortola (British Virgin Islands) two years ago. Windsor Express waive Smart - 2 months ago
Windsor Express (NBL Canada) waived 26-year old Vincentian ex-international center Akeme Smart (221-104kg-91, college: McCook CC). Smart managed to play in three leagues in two countries this year. He also played earlier that season for Santfeliuenc in Spanish EBA where in four NBL Canada games he recorded 5.8ppg and 5.3rpg. The other team Smart played shortly was AEC Collblanc (EBA) in Spain.
