On Thursday April, 19 dorenas put an important step in the race to the playoffs, with a hard fought win over De Arend and was helped
in this matter by a win from S.N.L. over De Schakel.

Dorenas, who played without regulars Dwight Cabenda, Miguel Wip and Jermaine Creton, managed to snatch a win in the fourth quarter from
De Arend, after a game in which both teams had leads. After a 33-30 score at the half Dorenas finally won the game with a 72-69 score.
Jason Fisher, who stepped up to play his best game of the season so far scored 15 points for Dorenas and Rodney Wills added 14.
For De Arend Mitchell Zeefuik scored 13 points while Dwight King and Melvin Powel each added 11.

In the second game of the evening things almost got out of hand in the final seconds. An accumulation of no calls on both sides by referees
Patrick Beharea and Ricardo Pinas led to a near fight with 3 seconds to go between players from both teams. Finally Jermaine Benn from
De Schakel and Micheal Doest from S.N.L. got ejected, while Gefferie Joekoe from S.N.L. who started things got of with just an intentional foul.
S.N.L. won the game, which they dominated with a score of 87-76 after a thirteen point halftime lead (44-31). Harold Blokland scored 27 points
for S.N.L. while August Gefferie, who returned for his first game in a couple of years added 13. For De Schakel Jahmal Henar scored 16 points
and Amilcar Cooman added 14.
