The second round of the Suriname men's top division basketball ("Hoofdklasse") ended on past Sunday with the game between Sabaku and S.N.L.  The third round started with Dorenas vs De Arend. After Yellow Birds manage to close the first round without defeat, this was repeated by defending champions Caribbean Little Devils (C.L.D.) in the second round. Both teams lead the way with only two loses in fourteen games. With the last round remaining it looks like the same four teams will make the play offs and the Sabaku will be relegated. See the current standings:

1. C.L.D. 12-2, 2. Yellow Birds 12-2, 3. De Schakel 10-4, 4. Dorenas 9-5, 5. S.N.L. 6-8, 6. De Arend 4-10, 7. Ashanti 3-11, 8. Sabaku 0-14
